Return and Refund Policy for Tifan.ca

At Tifan Technologies inc, your satisfaction is our priority. Our policy is designed to be clear and aligned with the service standards reflected in our customer correspondence.
1. Return Eligibility & Conditions
You may initiate a return within 30 calendar days from the date of receipt (delivery date). This applies regardless of whether the product was purchased online or at our physical location.
To be eligible for a full refund, all of the following conditions must be met:
- The item is in original condition, perfectly functioning with no signs of misuse, such as scratches, dents, or cracks.
- It is returned in original retail packaging, including all accessories, user manuals, and inserts.
- Outer shrink wrap/seal may be removed, but interior packaging must be intact.
- Any missing original packaging or damage not caused by transit may incur a 10–20% restocking fee.
- Do not return your product to the manufacturer. Contact us first at [email protected] to initiate the return.
2. Open-Box Units (Final Sale & Warranty)
Items sold as Open-Box are a final sale and are not eligible for return or refund due to a change of mind.
Important Clarifications:
- Condition: Open-Box devices are certified as "like-new," inspected to be defect-free, and come without cosmetic scratches or marks.
- Warranty: Despite being a final sale, all Open-Box items include the full one-year manufacturer's warranty, the same as a brand new device.
- Defects Upon Arrival: If the device or a key component (e.g., the stylus) arrives non-functional or with a demonstrable defect, we will resolve the issue by providing a replacement part (e.g., a new pen) or offering a store credit rather than accepting a full device return.
3. Shipping Responsibility & Return Fees
The cost of shipping returned items is the customer's responsibility. We offer a convenient option to simplify the return process:
- Tifan Prepaid Label: We can provide a prepaid return label using a reliable carrier. A fee of $15 CAD will be deducted from your final refund amount.
- Self-Shipping/Drop-Off: If you choose to purchase your own return label or drop off the item at our office, we will not deduct any shipping fees.
- Local Purchase Return Fee: For returns of items originally purchased and picked up at our office, the return label fee, if requested, will be $15 CAD (this may vary based on item size).
- Liability: We are not responsible for loss, delays, or damage during transit if you use a third-party courier or do not follow our recommended return process.
4. Local Pickup & In-Store Purchases
- Local Pickup: Local pickup is available at our Oakville location during our standard hours (typically 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM). We recommend placing your order online and selecting the pickup option to ensure your item is reserved and ready.
- Return Policy: The standard 30-day return policy applies to local purchases, but the specific return label fee noted above may apply if you require a return label instead of dropping off the item.
5. Non-Returnable Items
We do not accept returns for the following:
- Gift cards
- Downloadable or digital software products
6. Refunds
Once your item is received, our Quality Assurance team will inspect it within 1–2 business days.
- A full or partial refund will be issued based on the item's condition and completeness, and whether any restocking or shipping fees must be deducted.
- Refunds are processed to your original payment method, and typically appear within 3–5 business days.
- Shipping fees (if you paid for the original outbound shipping) are non-refundable.
- Troubleshooting: If you haven’t received your refund, please check with your credit card provider or bank before emailing support@tifan.ca.
7. Exchanges
We accept exchanges for the same item within 30 days under the following conditions:
- The item is non-functional upon arrival (not due to misuse or damage caused by the customer).
- The item is shipped back to us in accordance with Section 1 (Conditions for Returns).
- Product availability may affect the exchange timeline.
- To request an exchange, email [email protected] with your order number and issue description. A prepaid return label will be provided.
8. General Inquiries & Support
- Corporate Purchases: We do support corporate purchases and invoicing.
- Repair Services: We do not offer screen or hardware repair services. We recommend contacting the product manufacturer directly for repairs.
